The course offers an insight into the world of disability through a modern approach, guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (New York, 2006). Through the course, participants will acquire skills regarding the different types of disabilities, their history, the relevant legislation (International and National, with a specific on the legal burdens for PAs and Individuals), the main aids that support people with disabilities in their daily lives with an inclusive, non-discriminatory and language-conscious approach.
